Every marketing package
is the same thing underneath.
It is hours. However the tiers are named and however long the list of inclusions runs, what you are buying is a number of hours of other people's time each month. This page is what a package costs in the UK in 2026, what is really inside one, and why we sell the hours without the wrapper.
What a marketing package costs
Worth knowing before anybody quotes you. These are 2026 figures from Expert Market's 2026 survey of UK digital marketing costs, not our estimates.
- £1,000 to £2,000 a month is where most small-business packages land.
- £1,000 to £10,000 a month is the full range agencies quote, across every size of business.
- £600 to £1,200 a month buys a single service on its own — just SEO, or just paid social.
- £400 to £800 a day is the usual day rate, which is the number worth dividing any retainer by.
Figures are usually quoted excluding VAT, and most packages exclude advertising spend — so a £1,000 package with £500 of ads behind it is a £1,500 month. Ask which, every time.
The bit the tier names hide
Take any two packages with near-identical feature lists and a thousand pounds a month between them. The difference is not the list. It is the hours: one has thirteen in it and the other has twenty-five. The list says what those hours may be spent on. It does not add any.
Which means the real question is never “which package?” It is how many hours does this business need, and pointed at what? — and a tier asks you to answer that before anyone has looked at your business.
You would be guessing. And the guess is biased upward by design, because the page you are guessing from was built by the people being paid for the answer.
What we do instead
We look first. A Digital Audit grades your website and everything else a customer finds when they look you up, across four pillars, the same way for every business. It takes three to five days and it is presented on a call, not emailed.
It ends with a number: how many hours a month, which of the eight roles they come from, and what those hours would be spent on first. Sometimes that number is five. Saying so costs us money, and it is the reason to believe the rest of it.
The hours, and what they cost
Three bands. No minimum term, no notice period, and you can move between them month to month.
A website kept current, found and answered for.
Content, search and social moving every month.
A full programme, with build work running alongside.
The audit that works out which band you need is £500, or free with a partner code.
Questions people ask before they buy
How much do marketing packages cost in the UK?
Most small-business packages land between £1,000 to £2,000 a month, and the full range agencies quote runs from £1,000 to £10,000. A single service on its own — just SEO, or just paid social — is usually £600 to £1,200 a month. Day rates sit at £400 to £800. Those are 2026 figures from Expert Market's 2026 survey of UK digital marketing costs, and they are worth knowing before anyone quotes you.
What is actually included in a marketing package?
Hours. Whatever the tier is called and however long the list of inclusions is, what you are buying is a number of hours of other people's time each month. The list tells you what those hours may be spent on; it does not add any. This is why two packages with near-identical feature lists can differ by a thousand pounds a month — one has more hours in it.
Why don't you have tiers like everyone else?
Because a tier asks you to decide how much help you need before anyone has looked at your business. You would be guessing, and the guess is structurally biased upward. We audit first, then say how many hours and on what. Sometimes that is five hours. Saying so costs us money and is the reason to believe the rest of it.
So what does it cost?
Hours, at three bands: 5 hours a month at £250, 15 at £500, 25 or more at £750. No minimum term and no notice period. The audit that decides which band you need is £500, or free with a partner code.
Is a marketing retainer better than hiring in-house?
A marketing manager in the UK costs roughly £45,000 to £60,000 plus employer's national insurance, pension, holiday and the software — and one person cannot be a developer, a writer, an SEO and a designer. A retainer buys a narrower slice of more people. Below about twenty hours a month, buying hours is almost always cheaper; above a full-time load, hiring usually wins. The honest answer depends on which side of that line you are on.
Do I have to commit to a minimum term?
Not with us. Six and twelve-month minimums are normal in this market, and they exist because an agency's costs are front-loaded. Ours are too — we just put that work in the audit and charge for it once, rather than locking you in to recover it.
What if I only need one thing — just SEO, or just the website?
Then buy fewer hours and point them at that. The whole reason this is sold as time rather than as a package is that a package would make you pay for the seven roles you do not need this month.
Can I change how many hours I buy?
Month to month. Businesses are seasonal and projects are lumpy. A fixed tier makes you pay for your busiest month all year.
